How to Create a Website to get more Referrals

Another benefit is that you can create a a shortened down web url, or an easier url to remember. Like www.whateveryouwant.com rather than your extra long referral url like this http://gifts.freebiejeebies.co.uk/13650 which is a pain to type in.

Ok im going to pretty much assume that you have never created or hosted a website on the internet before.

First things first you need to decide what your web address is going to be. Head over to Streamline.net and enter in some url you might like and see if they are available. Streamline.net are offering a 3 month free trial which you can cancel anytime you like.

When you have chosen your url, sign up to the free three month trial package.

You will know need to find a webtemplate, either do a google search for "free web templates" or head over to themeforest for some really cheap professional templates. When you find a nice template you like, you will need a ftp client. (This is to upload your website on to the internet!)

There are loads of free ones, i use Filezilla.

When you signed up to Streamline.net they would have gave you your ftp details. For example ftp hostname, ftp username, ftp - password, enter this into your ftp client and upload your template files into the htdocs folder.

Use your imagination as much as you can when trying to get referrals. Of course start of by giving this link to your friends. Then create a Facebook fan page or Myspace page maybe.
